Breaking the Cherry

Cherry-Red Rock Casino
The Red Rock casino is the latest in the super speed, shake and bake notion of development in the northwest section of Las Vegas. As with all casinos the attractions don’t stop at the mind-numbing slot machines and overtaxed 40 yr. old cougars shaking their ass for that extra tourist dollar. No the formula is simple for Station Casinos (owners of Red Rock, Sunset Stations) place a center bar that's hip and draws in the younger crowd then build around it. If you need further proof check out Green Valley Ranch nice place but it's the same layout.
Red Rock is no different except that the décor is a post- modern theme that gives one the impression of being inside Major Nelson's slamming orgy pimp pad
After the arrangements were made and entrances bypassed my new assistants and I were led inside. Alas on this night dear readers Vern and Gordon were benched for my two very lovely assistants. Sorry boys but it's the play-offs!

Club Cherry located inside Red Rocks is the newest in the slew of never ending clubs that keep sprouting up in Vegas, each with their own unique vision of what's hip. If the casino reminds you of Major Nelson's pad then the entrance to Cherry was not unlike entering Jeannie's private lamp. Deeper and deeper we went racing and penetrating the pink circular canal until finally, in one powerful burst... we reached the bar. I felt like one of the sperm in Woody Allen's "Everything you wanted know about sex".

The hall opens to a circular bar and dance floor, where you guessed it, all sorts of overdressed renegade fornicators are working overtime; Their craft of deception failing against these seasoned tourists.
"I'm not a Doctor but I dabble in Pharmaceuticals!"
The music is and will always be a disappointment especially in these types of clubs, The usual fare is top 40 mixed at the DJ's discretion with little imagination. Once outside Cherry boasts another bar with a good view of the impressive pool complete with drunken women 4 beers shy of that: "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" moment.
What made Cherry tolerable was my new assistants, we laughed and enjoyed the drunken mayhem that threatened to whist me away to a Gin soaked party complete with drunken women and an endless supply of pharmaceuticals but alas the powers that be saved me from yet another bad decision.
Highlights
The drink prices were decent for a trendy hotel club, If you want cheap go to the champagne café. The staff was friendly with my guests and I.
Low Points
The Music needs more invention or a new open-minded approach, I suppose that what weekdays here in Vegas are for. The weekends cater to tourists who don’t give a shit either way.
